Information and Lost Property

Washington Dulles airport helps passengers with its customer service, through information desks, volunteer personnel present in different areas and reception of lost property.

Information Desks

If you need help during your stay at the airport, you can find several information desks that are staffed by Travelers Aid volunteers.

Lost and found Dulles airport


  • Departures level (ticket sales): two kiosks along the front of the terminal
  • Arrivals level: baggage claim area (carousels 6, 11 and 14)
  • Passing the security checks in the east and west


  • Concourse A, near Gate A15 (entrance / exit to AeroTrain station)
  • Concourse B, near gate B62 (entrance / exit to AeroTrain station)
  • Concourse C, near door C17
  • Concourse D, near door D16


In addition to the information desks, you can also look for one of the airport ambassadors at the international arrivals facilities. They can be recognized by their distinctive yellow or blue t-shirts with the Airports Authority logo.

PLEASE NOTE: Although the airport is open 24 hours a day, the hours of operation of the security checkpoints vary by location:

Security Checkpoint East - 4:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
West security checkpoint - 3:45 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
TSA Pre✓ ™ - 4:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
During night periods, when the east and west security checkpoints are closed, customers must use the control lanes next to TSA Pre✓ ™, located on the Departures - Ticketing / Check-In level, midway between the east and west security checkpoint entrances.

Lost Property

Lost and found agents will respond to submission forms or return phone calls within 24 business hours.

If you lost an item on board the plane, contact your airline .

If you lost an item in the main terminal, Concourses, AeroTrain, Shuttle Buses and other places within the airport call the Lost & Found section at 703-572-8479, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. at 4 p.m. (Closed on weekends). Located behind baggage claim 2.

On the other hand, if you lost your membership in some specific areas, you can directly contact those who control that area, namely:
